Letter from the Administrator

April showers bring May flowers! We have certainly seen massive amounts of rain in March and who knows what April will bring. We are definitely looking forward to spring here at Shady Lawn! We have been working on brightening and renewing our facility. We have just finished painting our dining room and will soon be moving onto the rest of the facility. We welcome anyone to come in and visit and check us out.

We have several events planned this spring including our annual Easter Egg Hunt, a huge Spring Shady Lawn Shindig and we also plan on participating in many local community events as well. Ashley our Community Outreach Liaison will be passing out flyers to remind everyone who will want to attend.

As I did last month, I would like to spotlight our staff who stand out and go “above and beyond”. This month I would like to Thank Laura Hughes who has been here as an LPN since 1994! She knows this community inside and out and there probably isn’t anything she doesn’t know when it comes to caring for our residents. She is a wealth of information and professionalism. Laura is a true asset to us here at Shady Lawn as our Assistant Director of Nursing. Thanks also go out to Hilary Woodmansee she is what I like to call one of our core employees and won Employee of the Year for 2018. She is a dedicated, caring CNA and she is one that we rely on to lead by example. We are so appreciative of the good work she does for our Shady Lawn community.

If you know these ladies, please congratulate them for the great jobs they do for us and our residents.

As always it is a blessing to be able to work with such a great crew here and we look forward to a beautiful Spring and warmer weather on the horizon!

“I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free” Psalm 119:32 NIV

With love and appreciation,
