Letter from the Administrator

Merry Christmas to my residents, their family members, my staff and to the Community! Here at Shady Lawn, Christmas is such a special time for us. I am so honored to be apart of this family and community. This time of year reminds us all to be thankful for the blessings that we are given, and hope for the future. Being administrator for this small but close- knit facility and community has truly been a blessing and I am so excited to bring in the next year with some positive changes and expectations. Change is inevitable and without it there is no progression. I have also been blessed with an amazing staff, with most of them being here for years. These people have seen many administrators and other leaders come and go, but like a tree that knows how to bend in the wind they have proven to be the most resilient, caring and knowledgeable individuals this facility could ever have. I truly believe in the fact that my staff are “called to care”, just as I feel the Lord put me where he wanted me.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the community churches that come to visit and sing to our residents. I would also like to extend an invitation for any community programs or school programs that would like to come and visit our residents and provide them with education, entertainment or activities, please contact our activities director Becky at 270-522-3236 to set up a date. You are never to old to learn or play!

In the following year we are hoping to put a fresh look in facility. The process will be slow but improving. We have also applied to start serving our retired Veterans who may need short term or long-term care. This will be a honor for us to serve our veterans in the community! You may also have noticed that we now have a Shady Lawn Pig in out front that we are proud to display. We invite the community to come see us, give recommendations on improvements that we can do. We also want to do what we can for our community as well, so please contact our new Marketing Director and Cadiz native, Ashley Flood Kingston at 270-498-6284 to let her know what we may be able to do to serve our community.

In conclusion, from all of us at Shady Lawn Merry Christmas to all and a Happy and Healthy New Year! May the Lord bless you and yours!

Thank you,

Candy Denley
