Short-Term Therapy Success

David P. was admitted following hospitalization due to Covid pneumonia with subsequent confusion and weakness. Upon admission he was MAX assist for hygiene and activities of daily living. He was unable to complete the 30-second sit to stand test, standing duration was 1-3 minutes, could only reach forward two inches while standing, and was ambulating 100ft with a rolling walker with assistance. After occupational and physical therapy, he was ambulating 350 ft with a rolling walker, completed the thirty second sit-to-stand test goal, able to stand greater than five minutes during activities of daily living, and able to reach forward eight inches while standing. Mr. P discharged independent with hygiene and self-care task. Way to go, David!
