Short-Term Therapy Success Stories: Ms. Mattie

Ms. Mattie was admitted to the facility from home due to decline in mobility and unable to safely care for herself. Upon admission, Mattie was unable to safely ambulate with her rollator due to lower extremity pain and required assistance with transfers to a chair. Mattie was able to tolerate standing for one minute before having to sit to rest. Mattie needed to help with hygiene tasks, dressing, and bathing. Mattie made consistent progress with therapy and was able to discharge to an apartment. Mattie discharged from the facility able to ambulate 150 feet with her rollator, bath, dress, and do personal hygiene independently. Great job, Mattie!
