A Letter from the Administrator

Greetings to families and our SLN friends!

Temperatures are soaring as we head into July, and no matter where you are, July is hot! It’s the time of year to enjoy barbecues, fireworks, bonfires, picnics, pool parties, beach outings, outdoor concerts/movies, and many more fun outdoor activities. During Kentucky’s hot and humid summers, not only are the temperatures are high, but the heat index often makes it feel much, much warmer that the thermometer says. Here at Shady Lawn, we continue to find ways to keep your family member active, engaged, and entertained during these sweltering summer months.

Let’s be sure to reflect on the meaning of Independence Day as we celebrate America’s birthday to include a well-known phrase from the Declaration of Independence, “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”. I encourage you to find and do something that comes from the goodness of our own hearts.
